• Strangulation | Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On Saturday, March 26, 2022 the suspect sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred in the 1200 block of Swan Point Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) on March 16, was arrested. The accused, identified as Hubert Drew AVERY II, was located and taken into custody by members of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Strangulation | Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On March 16 at 8:00PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 1200 block of Swan Point Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 30-year-old man, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached from the opposite direction by an acquaintance, later identified as the accused. Just after passing the victim, the accused turned and lunged at the victim causing them both to fall to the ground. While on the ground, the accused slammed the victim’s head into the ground multiple times before grabbing the victim’s neck. The two parties eventually separated, and the accused fled on foot. Rescue personnel responded and treated the victim’s injuries at the scene. While investigating, officers identified the accused as Hubert Drew AVERY II. On March 18, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

• Attempted Strong-Arm Robbery – On Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:42PM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 12125 Dumfries Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate an initial call of a patron acting aggressively towards the employee. An employee of the store reported to police that an unknown masked man entered the store and walked to the rear of the store where the employee was working. As the suspect approached the employee, he demanded the money from the cash registers. When the employee refused, the suspect pushed the employee towards the front counter continuing to demand money. The employee was able to push the panic alarm which prompted the suspect to flee the store. No injuries were reported. No property
was reported missing.

Arrests
• Abduction | Strangulation – On March 25 at 10:01PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 15500 block of Skiff Ct. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck and slammed her to the ground before getting on top of her. While the woman was pinned to the ground, the accused wrapped his arm around the victim’s throat. When the victim attempted to contact the police, the accused separated from the victim and fled the area. The victim ran to a neighbor’s house and contacted the police.
The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Eric Alexander FLORES. On March 26, the accused was located and arrested in Anne Arundel County Maryland and brought to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center where he will remain in custody until extradited to Virginia.

• Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7:10PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Westgate Apartments located in the 8100 block of Pointer Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, reported to police that earlier that morning, she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim before head-butting her. Eventually the parties separated. The victim did not report sustaining any injuries from the incident that morning. While police officers were investigating, the victim reported that between March 3 and March 17, two additional physical altercations occurred involving the accused.
The investigation into the additional incidents revealed that on March 3, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and held her against the wall until she temporarily lost consciousness.
On March 17, the victim reported that during a verbal altercation the accused grabbed her around the neck from behind and pushed her down before striking her multiple times. The accused separated from the victim when another family member entered the home. The victim reported sustaining injuries during both of the earlier incidents. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Gerald Anthony THOMAS III, who turned himself in to police later that evening.
On March 25, the victim reported to police that the accused attempted to contact her which was a violation of the active protective order. Following that investigation, officers obtained an additional arrest warrant for the accused who was served while at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center where he remained incarcerated on the original charges.

• Sexual Assault Investigation – On March 25, 2022 detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 12800 block of Hyannis Ln. in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed that while inside the home, the victim, identified as a 10-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, identified as the accused. The victim disclosed the incident to a family member who contacted the police, prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Daniel Lee FEGGANS,was arrested.

• Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On March 25, 2022 at 5:57PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Richmond Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic with weapons. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 55-year-old man, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved two knives. The victim ran to a bathroom and attempted to close the door. At that point, the accused stabbed the door with one of the knives multiple times. The parties separated and the police were contacted. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Morgan SMITH, was arrested.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 12:47AM, while patrolling in the area of Old Bridge Rd. and Antietam Rd. in Woodbridge (22192), officers from the Prince William County Police Department observed a vehicle that Virginia State Police troopers had previously attempted to stop.
The driver was unable to maintain the lane of travel and officers conducted a vehicle stop. The driver, identified as the accused, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. When officers attempted to take the accused into custody, she refused. During a brief struggle, the accused struck an officer before being taken into custody. While investigating the incident, officers determined the accused did not have a valid driver’s license. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sylviana D. NICA, was arrested. While the accused was being processed at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center, she elbowed an officer. No injuries were reported.
