• Commercial Burglaries – On Monday, March 14, 2022 at 6:50AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Promenade at Manassas shopping center located in the 7600 block of Stream Walk Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate multiple commercial burglaries. When officers arrived on scene, six businesses were identified as having the front glass door was broken out. The businesses were checked by officers, and no suspect was located. The investigation revealed that a shopping cart was used to shatter the glass doors to the businesses. The businesses were identified as the Subway, China Palace, Dollar & Gift, JD Haircuts, Sky Nails Spa, and J&S Latino. Upon reviewing surveillance footage, the first burglary is believed to have occurred at the Subway at approximately 2:30AM. Once inside the businesses, the lone suspect targeted the registers, taking an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a vehicle. The investigation continues.

Arrests
• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On March 10, 2022 at 7:29PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Centreville Rd. and Spruce St. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 39-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were driving in the above area when the two became involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck and assaulted her. A brief struggle ensued between the two parties before the accused released his hold on the victim’s neck. At one point, the accused bit the victim before she was able to park and exit the vehicle. Rescue personnel responded and treated the victim at the scene for minor injuries. While officers were canvassing the area, the accused was located and detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Christopher BERRY, was arrested.

• Assault & Battery on an Adult Detention Center Officer – On March 14, 2022 at 10:47AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center [ADC] located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault on a staff member. The investigation revealed that an inmate of the facility, identified as the accused, became unrestrained and repeatedly struck a door with a chair causing damage before she ripped off a protective cage around a fire alarm. When an ADC officer intervened, the accused spat in the officer’s face. The accused was eventually resecured, and no injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified das Brandi Lemay COLE, was charged and remained incarcerated at the ADC.
