• Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Malicious Wounding | Felony Hit & Run – On Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 7:25PM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to the Horner Commuter Lot located at 13455 Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate two pedestrians who had been struck in the lot, according to First Sgt. Jonathan Perok, public information officer.
The incident initially began as a domestic involving the victim, a 27-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, later identified as the accused. The investigation revealed that the two parties were in a vehicle and had stopped at the commuter lot where the two became involved in a domestic dispute. During the encounter, the accused assaulted and choked the victim as he was preventing her from exiting the vehicle. The victim was eventually able to get out of the vehicle along with their 5-year-old daughter and ran to another vehicle in the lot to seek assistance from a good Samaritan.
The occupants of that vehicle heard the victim in distress and exited their vehicle to assist her. At that point, the accused had circled around the parking lot and rapidly accelerated towards the victim and the occupants of the other vehicle. As the suspect approached at a high speed, one of the good Samaritans, identified as a 57-year-old man, who was assisting the victim, drew a firearm and fired multiple rounds towards the suspect vehicle, striking the vehicle once.
The accused then struck the other vehicle with occupants, a boy ,8, a girl, 5, and a 15-month-old girl, still inside causing significant damage before also striking the initial victim and a separate good Samaritan, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, as he continued fleeing out of the commuter lot and onto I-95.
The initial victim was transported to an area for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to her leg, while the second party was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released. No other injuries were reported.
After police conducted an extensive search, the accused returned to his residence in Woodbridge where officers arrested him without further incident. The good Samaritan was found to be in legal possession of the firearm which was determined to be used in self-defense. No charges will be sought. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Enoc ESPINAL ESTRADA, was arrested.
