• Strong-Armed Robbery *ARREST – On Friday, February 18, 2022, the suspect sought in connection to the robbery that was reported to have occurred at Marumsco Plaza located in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) on August 22, 2021, was arrested, according to MPO Renee Carr, public information officer for thePrince William County Police Department. The accused, identified as Jonathan Daniel SMITH, was located, and arrested in Prince George’s County, MD where he will remain in-custody until extradited to Virginia.

Strong-Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On August 22, 2021 at 1:29PM, officers responded to Marumsco Plaza located in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 56-year-old woman, reported to police that while in the parking lot of the above location, an unknown man, later identified as the accused, approached her vehicle. The accused entered the victim’s vehicle and removed her purse. The victim attempted to retrieve her purse from the accused and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s wallet before getting into the passenger seat of a red-colored sedan and fleeing with an unknown driver. No injuries were reported. While investigating, officers identified the accused as Jonathan Donovan SMITH and obtained arrest warrants. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 6:45PM, officers responded to the Broadstone at River Oaks Apartments located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that a man and a woman were involved in a verbal altercation outside of an apartment building when the man fired multiple rounds into the air. The woman fled on foot in an unknown direction while the man fled in a white 4-door sedan. No injuries or property damage were reported. While canvassing, officers located shell casings in front of the building.

A black male, between 5’3”-5’5”, with a partial goatee, and a thin build

• Residential Burglary – On Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 1:38AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of Tanalian Falls Ln. in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that entry was made into the home through an unsecured rear door sometime between 6:00PM and 11:30PM on February 21. A camera, purses, and shoes were reported missing.
• Attempted Commercial Burglary – On Monday, February 21, 2022 at 5:00PM, officers responded to the Mapleshade Animal Hospital located at 5597 Mapledale Plaza in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. Video surveillance revealed an unknown man using a metal bar and then other objects in an attempt to gain entry into the business on Friday, February 18 shortly before 11:00PM. When the suspect was not able to gain entry into the business, he was observed walking away. No property was reported damaged or missing.

An unknown race male, between 20-40 years of age, clean shaven, approximately 5’10”, with a thin build
Last seen wearing a dark-colored flannel jacket, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, oversized tan pants, and brown work-style boots

• Attempted Abduction – On Monday, February 21 at 6:15PM, officers responded to the Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted abduction. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 3-year-old girl, was sitting with her family in the food court area when they were approached by an unknown woman, later identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s arm and demanded she go with her. The victim’s family members intervened and grabbed the victim before notifying mall security who contacted the police. The victim was not injured and was turned over to a family member. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as, Jesica Jaqueline ESCOBAR QUEST, was arrested.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On February 22, 2022 at 11:24PM, officers were in the area of Bel Air Rd. and Jefferies Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) when gunshots were heard. While canvassing the area, officers made contact with two men who were walking from behind a dumpster near a wooded area. During the encounter, one of the men, later identified as the accused, was found in possession of a firearm and suspected illegal narcotics. The investigation revealed that the accused fired multiple rounds into the air and was attempting to flee the area when he encountered the police. The accused was taken into custody without incident. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Martel Dwayne GRAVES, was arrested.

* Felony Child Neglect – On Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 6:00PM, officers, in conjunction with Child Protective Services, responded to a residence located in the Manassas (20112) area of Prince William County to investigate a child abuse allegation. The investigation revealed that earlier that day, the victim, a 13-year-old male juvenile, ingested a prescription narcotic that was given to him the evening prior by a family member, identified as the accused. During the investigation, officers determined that the accused previously provided the victim with illegal narcotics. The victim was turned over to the custody of a family member. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jonathan Larry ELLINGTON, was arrested.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 11:38AM, officers responded to the Country Inn and Suites located at 2621 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) for the report of a wanted individual. While inside the hotel, officers encountered a man, later identified as the accused, who initially provided officers with false identifying information. During the investigation, officers determined the accused was the wanted individual and attempted to take him into custody. A brief struggle ensued before the accused was taken into custody without further incident. During the altercation, the accused struck an officer. Minor injuries were reported by the officer. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Joseph Dionte DERAMUS, was arrested.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Monday, February 21, 2022 at 3:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of Harmsworth Dr. in Dumfries (22026) for an individual attempting to harm themselves. Officers made contact with the individual, later identified as the accused, and attempted to take him into custody. During the encounter, the accused resisted arrest and struck an officer before being taken into custody without further incident. The officer reported minor injuries. The accused was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Micah Romello CAMERON, was charged while at the hospital and released for further evaluation by medical staff.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Thursday, February 17, 2020 at 9:07AM, officers were called to a residence located in the 12400 block of Iona Sound Dr. in Bristow (20136) to assist rescue personnel with a combative patient. Upon arriving at the location, officers were informed that the patient, later identified as the accused, shoved rescue personnel who were attempting to assist him. When officers attempted to take the
accused into custody, he actively resisted and refused to follow officers commands. A brief struggle ensued where the accused kicked an officer before eventually being detained without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alex Nabil FARES, was charged while at the hospital and released for further evaluation by medical staff.
