PWC Service Authority hires DC Water’s IT guru as Chief Information & Technology Officer

Prince William County Service Authority General Manager Calvin D. Farr, Jr. has appointed Mr. Hari Kurup as the organization’s new Chief Information & Technology Officer effective March 7, 2022.

Kurup brings to the Service Authority more than 20 years of experience in the software development, utility, manufacturing and service industries. He most recently was the Director of Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Systems for DC Water, where he oversaw the development of information technology strategies and leading multi-year programs to implement new capabilities in IT infrastructure, technology upgrades and Business Intelligence Analytics.

“Mr. Kurup’s diverse experience and leadership will play a major role in strengthening our outstanding and game-changing Information Technology Division,” said Mr. Farr.  “The complex projects and initiatives he has been involved with during his career have been remarkable.  Mr. Kurup inherits a great team of IT professionals.”   

Kurup holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Calicut University and a master’s degree in Finance from John Hopkins University. He also has received an Executive Program in General Management (EPGM) Advanced Certificate for Executives from MIT Sloan.
