OmniRide service changes take effect on Monday, Feb. 28

OmniRide’s Spring Service Change will take effect on Monday, Feb. 28. Some schedules for Express and Local routes will change on that date.

The new schedules are available from bus operators and online.

Routes not listed below do not have any timetable or map changes.

THE FOLLOWING ROUTES HAVE CHANGES:

OmniRide Express – schedules will now be available in Spanish both in print and online
• Montclair (MC) – Montclair to Pentagon (MC-200) - Schedule revised
• Tysons (T) - New Timed Connections to VRE

OmniRide Local
• Dale City - Schedule revised
• Dumfries - Schedule revised and Southbound Allen Dent Bus Stop Moved
• Woodbridge/Lake Ridge - Schedule revised
• Manassas 65 -  Buses will skip the Novant hospital stop when traveling southbound towards the HUB. The alternate stop is at Sudley @ Digges. Buses will still serve the hospital stop when traveling northbound towards NOVA.

OmniRide follows COVID-19 mitigation steps/protocols. This includes stringent cleaning of bus interiors daily. Enhanced cleaning is performed once a week on ALL buses and the strength of cleaning products used on the bus fleet has been upgraded. On-board air filters are cleaned and replaced frequently. 

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandates that ALL passengers and the bus operator are required to wear face coverings (that cover mouth and nose) while on board OmniRide buses.

In order to minimize interactions between bus operators and riders and allow customers to board quickly and self-distance more effectively, OmniRide instituted free fares on Local and Metro Express services. (Commuters on OmniRide Express buses will continue paying fares using a SmarTrip card – no cash fares.) OmniRide encourages the public to consider giving these services a try while they’re free!

OmniRide realizes that many of its riders continue to work remotely. When they’re ready to get back on public transportation, we’re ready to welcome them onboard!
