Hylton Performing Arts Center’s Second Anniversary Gala is set for Saturday, May 5. The reception, dinner and show will honor George Mason University President Alan G. Merten and Mrs. Sally L. Merten for their leadership in bringing the Hylton Performing Arts Center to Prince William County and the Northern Virginia region.
The benefit event is being co-chaired by the Honorable Corey A. Stewart and Maria Stewart and Mike and Karen Vanderpool. It aims replenish the Sen. Charles J. Colgan Community Arts Benefit Fund. This fund helps local arts organizations to present at the Hylton Center and to make the venue their artistic home.The gala begins with a 5 p.m. reception followed by a 6 p.m. dinner and an 8 p.m. concert by Tony Award-winning singer, actor and consummate entertainer Brian Stokes Mitchell.
Tickets to the Second Anniversary Gala include a performance ticket to the Brian Stokes Mitchell concert, a ticket to the gala dinner and recognitions in the programs for both the concert and the dinner.
