Police seek Georgia man in connection with Oct. 24 abduction and strangulation

Abduction | Strangulation | Domestic Related – On Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 at 5:00PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 5600 block of Reardon Ln. in Woodbridge (22193) on Oct. 24, 2021.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, reported to police that an acquaintance, identified as the accused, inappropriately touched and assaulted her. The investigation revealed that while parked in front of the above residence, the accused attempted to pull the victim towards him before grabbing the victim’s throat. The accused then sexually assaulted the victim before the parties separated. During the investigation, the victim reported a previous sexual assault involving the accused. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Mark MENJIVAR. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Mark MENJIVAR, 27, of the 200 block of Nan St. in Valdosta, Georgia
Described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8”, 190lbs., with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for 1 count of strangulation, 1 count of abduction, 2 counts of sexual battery, and 1 count of domestic assault & battery
