Manassas Councilman Ian Lovejoy, organizer/sponsor, asks everyone to spread the word about the free Greater Manassas Community Job Fair, to be held on Tuesday, Oct.13 between 1 and 6 p.m. in the gym at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8712 Plantation Ln, Manassas, VA 20110, just off Sudley Road.
Intermittent full closures of up to 30 minutes each will occur on eastbound Interstate 66 between Route 123 and Nutley Street and westbound I-66 between I-495 and Nutley Street late Tuesday night, October 6 into Wednesday morning, October 7, and again from late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, October 8, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Fauquier County Public Schools will participate in an earthquake drill on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10:15 a.m. The drill is part of the fourth annual Great SouthEast ShakeOut, a multi-state simultaneous earthquake drill in which participants practice the recommended action to take during an actual earthquake.
