House and Senate General Assembly money committees announced this week that the state budget will include language to study extending Metro’s Blue Line to Lorton, Woodbridge, Potomac Mills, and Quantico along with enhanced transit on U.S. 1 in Prince William County.

History was made Feb. 19 as the first woman Chair of the Senate Finance and Appropriations Committee presented the Senate budget. SB 29 and SB 30 were adopted with bipartisan support. Now a committee will resolve the differences between the House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate approved budgets.
Prince William Board of County Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. to review options regarding the construction of the animal shelter and to obtain public feedback on the project.

On Feb. 17 at 8 p.m., Prince William County police officers responded to the Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a brandishing.
On Feb. 18 at 8:27PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6200 block of Aster Haven Cl. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a suspicious person.
