PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

Tomorrow, Virginia’s minimum wage rises to $9.50 per hour thanks to legislation from the 2020 Regular Session (HB 395), which Delegate Jeion Ward introduced and the House Democratic Caucus championed as a Caucus priority. The Commonwealth’s minimum hourly wage is currently $7.25 and was last increased 12 years ago.
House Democratic Majority Leader Charniele Herring and House Democratic Caucus Chair Rip Sullivan released the following statement in response:
“We celebrate as Virginians across the Commonwealth will receive well-deserved raises for the first time in more than a decade. This is yet another example of how the House Democrats have improved Virginians’ lives. We will continue working to build a better Virginia for every working person in the Commonwealth.”

Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation on April 19, 2021 into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 3400 block of Caledonia Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) between May 2014 and September 2014.

On Saturday, April 10 at 12:27PM in the afternoon, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Opitz Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) for a report of an intoxicated person, according to a report filed by Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer for the police department.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating a shooting incident early March 26 to determine what led up to the shooting and are seeking to speak with anyone who was present during the altercation who can provide more details as to what occurred.

Video surveillance footage revealed two unknown men pried open the front door of the business and attempted to remove the ATM. The suspects were only able to remove a portion of the ATM before fleeing, according to Ofc. Wade Dickinson, public information officer.

Residential Burglary – On March 17 at midnight, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Madrigal Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 10:00PM and 11:40PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the attached garage through the door which was found unsecured. No entry was made into the residence.
