PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
OmniRide has resumed operating all routes and increased service levels on OmniRide Express buses. Weekday Express service to destinations in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. are running on a Friday schedule. The increase in service levels was based on the improving COVID-19 conditions, and the Governor’s order to begin reopening the state.

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles explain some of the new laws including the removal of certain provisions allowing a person’s driving privilege to be suspended or revoked.
Help in paying mortgage, rent and utility bills due to COVID-19 is now available for residents of Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park through HUD. Prince William County Office of Housing and Community Development is doing the paperwork for the federal program.
The U.S. Department of the Interior and National Park Service report Independence Day celebrations on the National Mall will include flight demonstrations from different branches of our military, in particular the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, and a monumental fireworks display.

On June 19, the suspect sought in connection to the abduction that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 9100 block of Amherst Ct. in Manassas (20111) on June 10, was arrested.

Off. Beard said the victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, identified as the accused, after he entered her locked bedroom. The victim recently reported the incident, prompting a police investigation.
