Faced with insurmountable workforce issues, the Fauquier County School Board voted August 10 to move to a 100% virtual instructional model for all students through December. The first day of school remains August 24.

On August 7, detectives with the Special Victims Unit, in conjunction with Child Protective Services, concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a hotel in the Gainesville area (20155) of Prince William County between July 5 and 6, 2020.

Police K-9 unit and the Fairfax County police helicopter were called out twice to look for suspects in connection with 7-Eleven store robberies in Triangle and Woodbridge over the weekend, according to PWC police reports.
Free COVID-19 Testing is available next week Aug. 10-11-12 at sites in Woodbridge, Manassas, Dale City, Triangle and Haymarket for anyone who lives or works in Prince William County, City of Manassas, or City of Manassas Park. Days and times vary - 8:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., depending on location.
