Prince William County Department of Public Works' Historic Preservation Division will be conducting an archaeological survey to identify a possible Civil War era military cemetery at the Bristoe Station Battlefield Park near Manassas VA. Beginning Nov. 19, the U. S. Social Security office on Center Street in Manassas will close to the public at 3 p.m. each day instead of 3:30 p.m. Beginning Jan. 2, the Social Security office will close at noon on Wednesdays.

Following major disasters, it’s common for scam artists to impersonate charities to get money or private information from well-intentioned taxpayers. Such fraudulent schemes may involve contact by telephone, social media, email or in-person solicitations.
