On Jan. 24, 2023, detectives with Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau concluded investigation into the robbery reported to have occurred at the Unique Sole, 2894 Garber Way in Woodbridge (22193,) on Nov. 25, 2022. While investigating the incident, detectives received information identifying seven suspects in connection to the robbery. Between January 17-24, 2023, the suspects were located and arrested or turned themselves in to police without incident.

OmniRide’s Service Changes will take effect on Monday, Jan 30. Schedules for Express, Metro Express, and Local routes will change on that date. OmniRide Connect microtransit pilot program is now operating in Manassas Park. It replaces the OmniRide Local Manassas Park route. Some routes are now operating from the new Balls Ford Road Commuter Lot in Manassas.

U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine have joined Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) and other colleagues in introducing legislation to make Washington, D.C. the 51st state. The Washington, D.C. Admission Act would grant D.C. citizens full congressional representation.

Pursuant to President Biden’s Presidential Proclamation to lower the United States flag, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced that he ordered the flags of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia o be flown at half-staff in memory of the lives lost and those injured in Monterey Park, California.

Amy Ashworth, Commonwealth’s Attorney for Prince William County, has announced the successful prosecution in the Prince William County Circuit Court, of Adrian Kendall Bryant arising from the July 21, 2021, murder of a 17-year-old juvenile in Woodbridge, Va. The case had been set for a jury trial beginning Jan. 23, 2023.
