Prince William County police report of arrests for Dec. 18, 2024
The Quicken Loans National golf tournament, which raises funds and awareness for the Tiger Woods Foundation and local charities, while paying tribute to our armed forces, will play its 2015 edition at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, according to a news release.
April is “Prevention of Cruelty to Animals” month and, to help raise awareness, the Prince William County Police Department’s Animal Control Bureau urges residents to “go orange for animals” and learn what to do if they observe instances of animal cruelty.
Six Virginia State Parks are involved in a two-year pilot program to test a different way of making camp site reservations. Under the pilot, customers can reserve a specific site rather than reserving space in a park campground.
The Internal Revenue Service is warning taxpayers to be on the lookout for a new email phishing scam. The emails appear to be from the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service and include a bogus case number.

Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center opened its doors this morning for care and services.
On March 24, 2014, the City of Manassas’ water main on Nokesville Road was damaged by a contractor. Repairs have been made, but water may appear discolored, according to Patty Prince, the city's public affair specialist.
Public’s help is being sought in providing information about a missing person’s case from 2010 involving Shane Ryan Donahue who was reported missing from his residence in the Nokesville area of Prince William County.
Prince William Farm Bureau has purchased 100 books about agriculture and has distributed one to each elementary school in Prince William County for reading during Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom Week March 23-29.
