Prince William County Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park for the third year. The FREE lights display begins Friday, Dec. 6. New this year: Visitors can experience the magic of the holiday season with visits from holiday characters, joyful holiday music sung by carolers and an unforgettable holiday shopping experience on select nights.

On September 10, 2026 at 12:47AM, officers responded to the 17300 block of Pacific Rim Ter. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed gunshots were heard in the above area before a dark colored sedan was seen quickly driving away.

On July 27, 2023 Prince William County Police detectives began an investigation into alleged inappropriate communication involving a former teacher with Prince William County Schools that was reported to have occurred in Prince William County in July 2023.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 34-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated inside a vehicle in the Dumfries area. During the encounter, the accused shot the victim multiple times before exiting the vehicle and firing multiple more times towards the victim seated in the driver’s seat.
