Councilman Ian Lovejoy has releasedf the “Your Manassas” community resource app which he says will better coordinate citizen access to information about upcoming events, city dining and shopping options as well as improving access to City Hall.
The full House Appropriations Committee July 15 approved by voice vote an amendment to the annual spending bill that funds the Interior Department to move the holiday celebrating Washington’s Birthday back to his actual birthday, February 22. If approved, it would start in 2017.
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Eastern Federal Lands Highways Division (EFLHD), in cooperation with the National Park Service (NPS), will begin a four-month construction project to repair and resurface park roads and parking areas at Manassas National Battlefield on Monday, July 21, during non rush-hours, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
