Man and woman dead in middle-of-night shooting in Woodbridge; gun recovered

Shooting | Death Investigation - On Saturday Nov. 20, 2021 at 3:33AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 11500 block of Bertram Street in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a death, according to Officer Wade Dickinson, public information officer.

When officers arrived at the home, they located two individuals, a 36-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, inside the residence with gunshot wounds. Both parties were known to one another and were pronounced dead on scene. At this time, the incident appears to involve the two parties and was isolated to the residence. A firearm was recovered on scene by officers. Children were in the residence at the time and were uninjured, Off. Dickinson said. He added that there is no threat to the community, and the investigation is continuing.
