Attempted Commercial Burglary – On Sunday, Oct. 24 at 2:20AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Bristow Vapes located at 10985 Nokesville Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed that the store owner received an alarm notification at the business shortly after leaving. The store owner contacted the police before driving back to the store where he observed three unknown juveniles attempting to gain entry into the business.
The store owner confronted the juveniles and fired multiple rounds from his firearm into the air. Two of the juveniles were detained by the store owner and an acquaintance of the owner. Responding officers took custody of the juveniles, identified as a 9-year-old boy and a 13-year-old male juvenile, who were charged and later released to a family member. During the investigation, officers identified the third juvenile as a 14-year-old male juvenile and also charged him.
The case will be handled by juvenile court services.
The business owner, identified as Haitham AMER, was charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm.
No entry was made into the business and no property was reported missing.
