Shooting Investigation – On Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021 at 4:56AM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to the area of Sudley Manor Dr. and Wedgewood Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.
The investigation revealed that a 23-year-old man was shot while sitting inside of a vehicle. The man left the area and went to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. During the investigation, officers located the vehicle nearby in the 10200 block of Quayle Ct. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. Detectives are actively investigating the incident to determine what led up to the shooting. Additional information will be released when available.
Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – Less than an hour on the same day on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021 at 4:09AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 7600 block of Quail Run Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.
The homeowner reported to police that while inside of the home, loud noises were heard followed by bullet holes being found in a nearby wall. The investigation revealed that the rounds traveled through fencing before entering the home through the rear wall and traveling through multiple interior walls. No injuries or additional
property damage were reported.
