Two altercations; victim told police she was grabbed by the throat

Strangulation | Domestic Assault and Battery – On Saturday, May 22 at 11:59AM, just before noon, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1500 block of Hylton Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) the prior evening.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim. The parties temporarily separated while remaining inside the home. A short time later, a second verbal altercation ensued before the accused grabbed
the victim’s throat. The parties eventually separated, and the victim left the residence the following day and contacted the police.

The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, and on May 23, the accused, Henry Miguel TIRADO, was located and taken into custody.
