Physician charged in sexual assault case following six months investigation

Sexual Assault Investigation – In November 2020, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department ‘s Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred between October 2014 and November 2020 at the Potomac Pediatrics, P.C. located at 2296 Opitz Blvd in the Woodbridge (22191), according to a report from MPO Renee Carr, public information officer.

The investigation revealed that the female victim, who was between 11 and 17 years of age at the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted by her physician, identified as the accused, on more than one occasion during the above timeframe.

While police were investigating, a second female victim was identified and reported to police that she was also sexually assaulted by the accused on more than one occasion between 1992 and 1998 when she was between 2 and 8 years of age. At the time of the incidents, the victims were patients of the accused.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Leonard Lee TOUCHETTE, was arrested on May 17, 2021. The investigation continues.
