Woman, 24, charged with 3 counts of assault and battery on LEOs at local hospital Sunday evening
Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 11 PM, the accused was in police custody at Novant Health UVA Prince William Medical Center, located at 8700 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20110), when she began trying to hurt herself and attempted to leave the room.
As officers attempted to detain the accused, she actively resisted and refused to follow officers’ commands. According to MPO Renee Carr, public information officer for the police department. During the altercation, the accused kicked multiple officers before being taken into custody without further incident. Minor injuries were reported by the officers.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Inaiah Mikasa YOUNG, was arrested.
