Manassas man who initially falsely identified himself to police held without bond

Strangulation | Domestic Related – Prince William County Police officers responded to the Rolling Brook Apartments located in the 1700 block of Shady River Ct. in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault on Monday, April 19 at 9:52AM,.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the accused struck her several times. At one point during the altercation, the accused grabbed the victim’s throat before falling to the ground where she was kicked by the accused.

Eventually the parties separated, and the victim contacted a family member who transported her to an area hospital where police were notified. The victim reported significant injuries. While investigating, officers located a man who initially falsely identified himself to them and was later identified as the accused. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alfred Curtis MEANS Jr., was arrested.

Alfred Curtis MEANS Jr., 29, of 7511 Bell Grae Dr. in Manassas
Charged with strangulation, domestic assault & battery, and false identity to law enforcement
Court Date: June 21, 2021 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
