Two Woodbridge residents accused of abduction of woman in Maryland

Abduction – On March 30, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit began an investigation into an abduction that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 16200 block of Radburn St. in Woodbridge (22191) on Feb. 4.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 24-year-old woman, was approached by an acquaintance, identified as the accused, while in her vehicle in a parking lot in Oxon Hill, MD. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s phone, pushed her to the ground and struck her before driving her to the above listed residence on Radburn Street in Woodbridge. While at the residence, a family member of the accused, identified as Shanitra Deone JOHNSON, and the accused, physically prevented the victim from leaving. At one point, the accused threatened the victim when she made contact with police.

When the officers asked to meet with the victim, the accused hung up the phone. A short time later, officers responded to the listed residence and made contact with the parties. During the initial encounter with officers, the victim did not disclose the nature of the incident. Eventually the victim was able to separate from the accused and reported the incident to a family member who eventually contacted the police. The victim reported she sustained injuries during the time of the incident.

Following the investigation, on March 31, the accused, identified as Traivon Rashod JOHNSON and Shanitra Deone JOHNSON, were arrested.

Traivon Rashod JOHNSON, 25, of 16212 Radburn St. in Woodbridge
Shanitra Deone JOHNSON, 42, of 16212 Radburn St. in Woodbridge
Both charged with abduction

Court Date for Both: May 3, 2021 | Bond: Both were Held WITHOUT Bond
