Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Saturday, April 10 at 12:27PM in the afternoon, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Opitz Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) for a report of an intoxicated person, according to a report filed by Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer for the police department.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a man, later identified as the accused, who was unsteady on his feet and was having difficulty speaking. Officers determined the accused was intoxicated and took him into custody. While processing the accused at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC), he attempted to bite an officer.
A short time later, the accused struck a correctional officer who was assisting with the processing. No injuries were reported by the officers. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Danny Jay FLEMING, was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on LEO and 1 count of intoxicated in public
