Police arrest suspect on Sudley Manor Drive after security firm alert of alarm activation

Commercial Burglary – On March 21 at 2:23AM, officers responded to the Ross Dress for Less store located at 10822 Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation, according to Ofc. Wade Dickinson, public information officer.

A member of the security company notified police and provided a description of a man who was observed on video surveillance inside of the store. When officers arrived in the area, they observed a man outside of the store, who matched the description provided and detained him.

The investigation revealed that the man, identified as the accused, was observed on video surveillance exiting the dressing room area and taking clothing items before leaving the store through the front door. No signs of forced entry were observed. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Todd Anthony SHEPHERD, was arrested.

Charged with burglary and petit larceny
