Third and final suspect arrested in connection with Dec. 2019 shooting on Pearson Drive

UPDATE - Armed Robbery | Aggravated Malicious Wounding *ADDITIONAL ARREST – On March 22, 2021, the final suspect sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred in 4700 block of Pearson Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) on Dec. 19, 2019, was arrested. On March 22, the suspect, Tavon Everett Lee VINES, was located and taken into custody in Camp Springs, MD by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, according to Ofc. Wade Dickinson, public information officer for Prince William County Police Department.

Tavon Everett Lee VINES, 27, of 4322 Ponds St., NE, in Washington, D.C. Charged with 1 count of aggravated malicious wounding, 2 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and 2 counts of armed robbery

Armed Robbery | Aggravated Malicious Wounding *ADDITIONAL ARREST [Previously Released] – On March 17, one of the suspects sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred in 4700 block of Pearson Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) on December 19, 2019, was arrested. On March 12, members of the Metropolitan Police Department located the suspect, Daquan Artis TINKER, in Washington D.C. and took him into custody. An additional suspect was previously arrested in connection to this case on March 2. Attempts to locate the remaining suspect, Tavon Everett Lee VINES, have been unsuccessful.

Armed Robbery | Aggravated Malicious Wounding *SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED [Previously Released] – On March 2, 2020, detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit obtained warrants for the arrest of three men in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred in 4700 block of Pearson Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) on December 19, 2019. The men are accused of following the victim and an acquaintance to the above area where a robbery was committed by the suspects. During the encounter, the victim was shot and seriously injured. The victim was transported to an area hospital and has since recovered and been released. The acquaintance, a 44-year-old man, was not injured. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the suspects. One of the men, identified as Javontae Renard SMALLWOOD, is currently incarcerated at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on unrelated charges. The two other men, identified as Tavon Everett Lee VINES and Daquan Artis TINKER, remain wanted in connection to the incident. This investigation was aided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Fairfax County Police, and investigators with the MGM National Harbor. Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On December 19 at 1:43AM, officers responded to the 4700 block of Pearson Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they located one male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as a 33-year-old man, was located in the street of the above location with a gunshot wound and assault wounds to the upper body. Responding officers provided immediate first aid to the victim until fire and rescue personnel arrived and the victim was flown to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the victim and an acquaintance, had just returned to the above area after being at the MGM Grand Casino. As they exited the car, they were approached by multiple masked men who had just pulled into the driveway behind them. During the encounter, the victim was assaulted and then shot in the upper body before the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and a cell phone from him. The suspects fled the scene in a dark colored SUV prior to police arrival. At this time, no suspect information is available. The investigation continues.
