Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Saturday, March 6 at 12:52AM, Prince William County police officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Maplewood Dr. and Rugby Rd. in the Yorkshire area of Manassas (20111) for a driver who disregarded a posted stop sign. During the encounter, the driver, later identified as the accused, refused to sign the traffic summons. After repeated requests were refused, officers attempted to take the accused into custody.
At that point, the accused continued to refuse officer’s commands before quickly driving away from the location. A short time later, the accused returned to the above location where she continued to disregard officer’s commands and refused to exit the vehicle. As officers attempted to take the accused into custody, a brief struggle ensued during which the accused struck an officer.
Eventually, officers were able to take the accused into custody. No injuries were reported by the officer. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Janeida Adrienne VIDAL, was arrested.

Charged with 1 count of assault & battery on LEO, 2 counts of resisting arrest, and 1 count of disregarding a stop sign
