Domestic verbal altercation escalates; victim struck and grabbed by neck, police say

Abduction | Domestic Related – On Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 2:30AM, Prince William County Police responded to a residence located in the 2200 block of Madison Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.

The victim, a 36-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim before preventing her from leaving the bedroom. While still inside the bedroom, the accused grabbed the victim’s throat.

The parties eventually separated, and the victim contacted the police. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Elias Antonio RAMIREZ-LOPEZ, was arrested. While processing the accused, officers determined that he falsely identified himself to the police and the magistrate. Following the investigation, additional warrants were obtained.

Charged with abduction, strangulation, domestic assault & battery, perjury and false identification to law enforcement
