Strangulation | Domestic Related – On Sunday, Jan. 17 at 5:43PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 15500 block of Three Otters Pl. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a domestic. While responding, officers were informed that the accused refused to let the victims, identified as a 46-year-old female acquaintance and their 4-year-old daughter, leave the home.
Members of the Crisis Negotiation Team responded and began speaking with the accused. Eventually, the victim and her daughter were able to leave the residence.
The investigation into the initial call revealed that the victim and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the accused pushed the victim several times before brandishing a firearm. At some point during the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck before their daughter intervened and the parties separated.
While temporarily separated from the accused, the victim contacted the police. While the victim was on the phone with the police, the accused was heard threatening the victims and the police.
No injuries were reported by the child and minor injuries were reported by the victim. While talking with members of the Crisis Negotiation Team, the accused walked out of the home and was immediately taken into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Bryan Lee SNIFFEN, was arrested.
