Suspicious Vehicle – On Friday, Jan. 8 at 7:32PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the intersection of Vantage Dr. and John Diskin Cl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an abandoned vehicle with damage.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 2000 silver Volvo S80 with a rear window broken, damage along the passenger side and several bullet holes along the exterior of the vehicle. It is unknown how long the vehicle was parked in the area. While investigating, officers observed a substance, suspected to be blood, inside the vehicle. Officers also determined that the license plates found on the vehicle were not registered to that vehicle. While canvassing the area, no additional property damage was located.
Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit are actively investigating to determine what events led up to the vehicle being abandoned in the area, said MPO Renee Carr, public information officer for the Prince William Police Department.
