Three more suspects arrested in connection with Nov. 29 homicide in Woodbridge

Felony Homicide Investigation *ADDITIONAL ARRESTS –
On Tuesday, Dec. 8, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified and arrested three additional suspects in connection to the shooting of Michael Bright ADOM that was reported to have occurred in the 4000 block of Westwind Dr. in Woodbridge (22193)  on Sunday, Nov. 29, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, the police department’s public information officer.

The investigation revealed that the suspects identified below were also in the area when the shooting occurred. Following the investigation, the suspects, identified as J’Vahn DURGAN, Wilford Amoako OSEI, were arrested on Dec. 4, and Joseph Alpha TARAWALIE, was arrested on Dec. 8. The first suspect was previously arrested in connection to this investigation on Dec. 2. The investigation continues.

J’Vahn DURGAN, 19, of 3393 Eagle Ridge Dr. in Woodbridge
Wilford Amoako OSEI, 19, of 3507 Eagle Ridge Dr. in Woodbridge
Joseph Alpha TARAWALIE, 18, of 149 SW Galveston Pl. in Washington DC
All three men were charged with accessory after the fact in a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, and attempted shooting into an occupied dwelling

Felony Homicide Investigation *ARREST [Previously Released] – On December 2, detectives with the Homicide Unit identified a suspect in connection to the shooting of Michael Bright ADOM that was reported to have occurred in the 4000 block of Westwind Dr. in Woodbridge (22193)  on November 29. The investigation revealed that the victim and other acquaintances, including a man later identified as the accused, were in the above area when the victim was shot. After the shooting the victim was brought to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. During the investigation, detectives identified the accused as an involved party. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Marquis Rene WHITMORE, was arrested. The investigation continues.
         
Homicide Investigation *VICTIM IDENTIFIED [Previously Released] – Detectives with the Homicide Unit have identified the man killed this morning during a shooting that occurred in the 4000 block of Westwind Dr. in Woodbridge (22193). The deceased was identified as Michael ADOM, 18, of Woodbridge. Detectives continue to seek assistance from any witnesses to the encounter. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues.

Homicide Investigation [Previously Released] – On November 29 at 6:09AM, officers responded to the 4000 block of Westwind Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Residents in the area reported to police that a large group of people were gathered in the above area when gunshots were fired. Shortly after, all parties dispersed and the police were notified. While investigating, officers were notified of an adult male who was brought to an area hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. The man died later as a result of his injuries. Detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating the incident to determine what led up to the shooting and are seeking to speak with anyone who was present during the altercation who can provide more details as to what occurred. The identity of the deceased will be released upon notification of a next-of-kin. More information will be released as it becomes available. The investigation continues.
