Suspect arrested in connection with homicide in Woodbridge Nov. 29

Felony Homicide Investigation *ARREST –
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified a suspect in connection to the shooting of Michael Bright ADOM that was reported to have occurred in the 4000 block of Westwind Dr. in Woodbridge (22193)  on Sunday, Nov. 29. The investigation revealed that the victim and other acquaintances, including a man later identified as the accused, were in the above area when the victim was shot.

After the shooting the victim was brought to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. During the investigation, detectives identified the accused as an involved party. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Marquis Rene WHITMORE, was arrested, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.

Arrested on Dec. 2:
Marquis Rene WHITMORE, 19, of 2967 Chinkapin Oak Ln. in Woodbridge
Charged with felony homicide, conspiracy to commit a felony, and concealing or compounding offenses
          Court Date: February 19, 2020 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

          Identified:
          The deceased was identified as Michael Bright ADOM, 18, of Woodbridge
