Alarm activation sends county police to Balls Ford Rd. business shortly before 1 a.m.

Commercial Burglary – On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 12:49AM, officers responded to the Noland Company located at 10512 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation. When officers arrived on scene, they located a warehouse window to an overhead door was damaged and appeared to have been used to access the building. Multiple items in the warehouse appeared to have been tampered with, but no property was reported missing.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 4:45AM, officers responded to the 3200 block of Burbank Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Caller reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers arrived and located multiple shell casings in the street and an unoccupied vehicle that appeared to have been struck. No injuries or other property damage were reported. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On Monday, Oct. 19 at 8:50AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1300 block of Columbia Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a destruction of property. The homeowner reported to police that at approximately 1:47AM, multiple gunshots were heard in the area of Columbia Rd and Lamar Dr before an unknown vehicle sped off. When the homeowner woke later that morning, the front glass door to the residence was found shattered by an apparent bullet. Additional damage was discovered to an interior living room wall. Officers located multiple shell casings in the roadway. No injures or other property damage were reported.
