Crisis Negotiation Team called out to Lake Ridge for domestic with weapons

Abduction | Domestic Related – On Monday, Oct. 19 at 9:40AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Allspice Ct in the Lake Ridge section of Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic with weapons.

The victim, a 36-year-old woman, reported to police that a male acquaintance, identified as the accused, was armed, and made threats to harm her. At one point, the accused placed a firearm against the victim’s head before assaulting her. A 14-year-old male juvenile was also inside the home and unaware of the incident.

Officers arrived at the home and both the victim and juvenile safely exited the home. Officers learned that the victim had an active protective order against the accused. No injuries were reported.

Members of the Crisis Negotiation Team arrived at the home and began communicating with the accused who was still inside and armed. At approximately 11:13AM, crisis negotiators were able to have the accused exit the residence where he was detained without incident. The accused was not injured. Two firearms were collected from the residence. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gabriel Jerome ELAM, was arrested.
