Commercial Burglary – On September 8 at 1:39AM, officers responded to My Eye Doctor located at 14465 Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm activation. When officers arrived, they observed the front glass door shattered. A police K-9 checked the business and surrounding area for any suspects, none were located. Interior property damage was observed. No property was immediately reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On September 8 at 1:44AM, while responding to the above burglary, officers were dispatched to the nearby Red Wings shoes business located at 14204 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for another reported alarm activation. When officers arrived, the front glass door was also shattered. A police K-9 checked the business and surrounding area for any suspects, none were located. Leather belts were reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On September 8 at 5:02AM, officers responded to Kwatch Jewelry located at 4351 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The business owner contacted police upon arriving at the location and observing the front glass door shattered. Video surveillance showed an unknown white male suspect using a hammer to break into the business around 2:10AM. Necklaces were reported missing. This burglary is possibly related to the two burglaries reported above.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 7 at 10:43PM, officers responded to the 2600 block of Oak Valley Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. Callers reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers arrived and located multiple shell casings. No suspects were located. No injuries or property damage were reported.
