Two men held without bond after being arrested for domestic abuse and battery

Strangulation | Domestic Assault and Battery – On August 17 at 11:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Madrigal Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 16-year-old male juvenile, reported to police that he and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim into a wall. When a separate family member attempted to intervene, the accused pushed him before grabbing his neck. The accused then grabbed a knife and threw it at the family member. The parties separated and the police were contacted. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Safi FAQIER PUR, was arrested.

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault and Battery – On August 17 at 12:15AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16600 block of Galt Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

During the encounter, the accused struck the victim several times. At the time of the assault, the victim was holding her 10-month-old son which caused the child to fall out of her arms. When the victim’s family members attempted to intervene, the accused pushed one of them while striking the other several times in the upper body. The parties eventually separated, and the police were contacted.

The accused fled the scene prior to police arriving at the home. Minor injuries were reported. The accused turned himself into police later in the morning. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Demetre Wayne WILSON, was arrested.
