MPO Renee Carr, public information officer for the Prince William County Police Department, filed these robbery reports on Aug. 17, 2020:
Strong-Arm Robbery – On Wednesday, August 12 at 2:30PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 14400 block of Village Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) at approximately 11:30PM on August 11.
The victim, an 18-year-old woman, reported to police that a male acquaintance drove her to the above area where she was approached by three women. During the encounter, the suspects assaulted the victim before taking her property. The acquaintance also struck the victim before he and the suspects fled the area in the acquaintance’s vehicle. The victim contacted the police the following day and reported significant injuries from the incident. There is no further suspect description at this time.
Strong-Arm Robbery – On August 14 at 9:39PM, officers responded to the area of Jefferies Rd. and Saxophone Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 21-year-old man, reported to police that while walking along a path in the above area, he was approached by three unknown masked men.
During the encounter, the suspects demanded his property before assaulting him. The suspects took the victim’s property before fleeing the area on foot. The victim went to a nearby business where police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. The only suspect description at this time is three black men wearing dark clothing and masks.
Attempted Armed Robbery – On August 16 at 9:09PM, officers responded to the 4100 block of Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 23-year-old man, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, the suspects brandished a knife, grabbed the victim and demanded his property. The victim was able to separate himself and ran to a nearby business. The suspects fled on foot prior to police arriving at the location. No injuries were reported. The only suspect description is two black men dressed in all black clothing.
