MPO Renee Carr, public information officer for the Prince William County Police Department, issued the following reports about gunfire in Woodbridge during weekend
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 8 at 9:47PM, officers responded to the intersection of Balsam St. and Walnut St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that gunshots were fired into the air from the passenger side of a Ford Mustang traveling on Walnut St. towards Colchester Rd. No injuries or property damage were reported. Shell casings were located in the street and collected by officers.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 9 at 7:30PM, officers responded to the intersection of Old Kings Rd. and Powder Hunter Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. Residents reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area after two unknown men exited a vehicle and pursued another unknown man towards the wooded path on Powder Horn Ter. Two additional unknown men stayed inside the vehicle and fled the area after the shots were fired. No injuries or property damage were reported. Officers canvassed the area and located a shell casing along the wooded path.
Suspect Descriptions:
Both men were black males. Approximately 5’9”, with slim builds
