Incidents
Commercial Burglary – On August 4 at 6:55AM, Prince William County police officers responded to Ruppert Landscape located at 5451 Wellington Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The manager reported to police that between 1:30AM and 2:45AM, two unknown men were seen on surveillance cutting an exterior fence and going onto the property.
Once on the property, the men forcibly entered multiple trailers removing several pieces of lawn care equipment. The men were only described as black males with medium builds. One reportedly had a full beard while the other was clean shaven, the police report stated.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 5 at 2:21AM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 15800 block of Cliffbrook Ct in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that they were asleep when they woke to noise coming from a lower level of the residence. Upon checking the home, damage was discovered to a rear sliding door. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. A police K-9 searched the area for the intruder who was not located.
