[Previously Released] Strangulation | Domestic Assault and Battery – On May 31, 2020 at 9:00PM, officers responded to a investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 8300 block of Sunset Dr. in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s throat before striking her several times in the upper body. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and leave the residence before contacting the police later that day. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jacob Samuel CORUM. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
Incidents
Commercial Burglary – On June 15 at 8:15AM, officers responded to the Montclair Tennis Club located at 16500 Edgewood Dr. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The owner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 7:30PM on June 14 and 6:50AM on June 15. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through the front door which was found damaged. No property was reported missing.
