Shooting Investigation – On Monday, May 25, 2020 at 10:52PM, Prince William County police officers were reported to have responded to the 2600 block of Glenriver Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. Callers reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area.
Officers arrived and determined an incident took place prior to the parties dispersing. While investigating the incident, a 17-year-old male juvenile arrived at an area hospital suffering from a gunshot injury. The juvenile was subsequently connected to the incident on Glenriver Way, which appears to stem from an altercation that escalated resulting in the teen being struck, according to MPO Renee Carr, police department representative.
The other parties involved have not been identified. This incident does not appear to be random. No other injuries or property damage were reported.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On May 24 at 8:34AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17500 area of Cajun Ct. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 6:00PM on May 23 and 7:30AM on May 24, entry was attempted into the home through a rear window which was found tampered with. No entry appears to have been made into the home and no property was reported missing.
