Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault and Battery – On May 11 at 5:04PM, Prince William County officers responded to a residence located in the 9800 block of McGill Ct. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic, according to MPO Renee Carr, police department representative.
The investigation revealed that the victim, a 13-year-old male juvenile, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim several times before pushing him into a wall. The parties were separated by another resident of the home, Carr reported.
At that point, Ofc. Carr said, the accused retrieved a firearm and brandished it towards the victim. While brandishing the firearm, the accused threatened the victim and then forced him out of the home. The victim ran to a neighbor’s residence where police were contacted.
The accused was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident. The victim and the accused reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jermaine Michael TERRY, was arrested.
