Malicious Wounding | Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer—four counts – On April 20, 2020 at 1:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1500 block of James St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, reported to police that an acquaintance, identified as the accused, pushed his way into his home and assaulted him. The altercation continued outside of the home were witnesses intervened and separated the parties.
The accused initially left the scene prior to police arriving at the residence and was located and detained by officers a short distance away.
The victim reported significant injuries to his face and head and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
While investigating, officers determined the accused was under the influence of alcohol. When officers attempted to escort the accused to a police cruiser, he actively resisted and refused to follow commands. During the encounter, the accused pushed and scratched the officers. After a brief struggle, the accused was secured and placed inside the police cruiser.
Prior to being transported, the accused needed to be re-secured after repositioning his arms. As officers attempted to re-secure him, the accused spat on the officers before biting an officer on the finger. The accused was again re-secured and transported without further incident.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Noel VALLADARES DELCID, was arrested.
