Attempted Malicious Wounding – On April 2, 2020 officers from the Prince William County Police Department concluded an investigation into an attempted malicious wounding that was reported to have occurred near the 8000 block of Ashland Ave. in Manassas (20109) on March 13.
The investigation revealed that the victim, a 20-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim before brandishing a knife and attempting to cut her. The parties separated and the police were contacted.
The victim did not initially report the extent of the incident and all parties left the scene. Later that morning, the victim contacted the police to report additional details during the encounter. While investigating, officers responded back to Ashland Ave. and recovered the knife. Following the investigation, on March 18, officers obtained warrants of arrest for the accused, identified as Davionn J. LEWIS. On April 2, Manassas City Police Officers located the accused and took him into custody without incident.
