Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 29 at 9:50PM, Prince William County police officers responded to Rosemont Lewis Park located at 11000 Crestwood Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a trespassing complaint.
Officers made contact with a group of individuals to advise them to extinguish the bonfire that was lit and leave the park. One of the individuals, later identified as the accused, became disorderly and refused to leave. Officers detained the accused, who was determined to be intoxicated and openly drinking alcohol.
As officers escorted the accused to a police cruiser, she actively resisted by kicking off a shoe towards an officer and striking the officer in the chest with it. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sharon Marie MAYNARD, was arrested.

Charged with assault and battery on LEO, obstruction of justice, intoxicated in public, drinking in public and trespass after having been forbidden
