Middle-of-the-night police call concludes with arrest of two in Woodbridge

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 24 at 2:32AM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 13600 block of Lynn St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic.

Upon arriving at the residence, officers heard a woman yelling in distress, and made entry into the home. The officers made contact with the occupants of the residence, identified as the accused and an acquaintance, a 38-year-old woman. During the encounter, officers attempted to detain the accused who actively resisted and pushed his shoulder into the officer. A brief struggle ensued, and the accused was taken into custody without further incident.

The investigation into the initial domestic call revealed that the woman threatened the accused with a knife after a verbal altercation. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gregory Wayne QUARLES Jr., was arrested.

The female acquaintance involved was also charged with assault & battery in connection to the initial incident.
