Manassas man held without bond in domestic assault and battery case

Strangulation | Domestic Assault and Battery – On March 21 at 2:25PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the Soldiers Ridge Apartments located in the 11200 block of Soldiers Ridge Cl. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim and then grabbed her throat. The parties eventually separated, and the police were contacted, according to Off. Renee Carr, police department representative.

During the investigation, police learned that both parties were also involved in a physical altercation the previous day (March 20) where the accused pushed the victim. The victim reported minor injuries sustained from both incidents. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Leobardo Mariano TATENCO GARCIA, was arrested.
